General information
Gataad is in the canton of Bernese Oberland, it is located in southwestern Switzerland, right on the border with the French-speaking part of Switzerland. Gataad is known as one of the most exclusive and expensive ski resorts in the world, and also a popular holiday resort in Switzerland. Gataad is easily accessed by train or by car from the Lake Thun region, the area of Lake Geneva and the Greyerzerland. Gstaad is known for its extremely luxurious hotels and shopping, high-society nightlife, fine dining, excellent service. It is also one of the largest ski areas in the Alps.

Tourist attractions
Cattle breeding, milk and meat production are the three mainstays of alpine farming in Gstaad, lots of farmers appreciate people taking an interest in their work. Many museums offer an interesting insight into the culture, history, traditions. There are very beautiful old houses with the chalet style in Gstaad. The village of Saanen is the historical heart of the Saanenland. It owes its unique character to its narrow streets and lanes lined with old timber houses and dominated by the 15th century Mauritius Church.

Gstaad is an ideal hiking paradise in Switzerland, there are more than 300 kilometers of signposted and well maintained trails and paths. 150 kilometers of bike routes, 500 kilometers of GPS tours and an electric bike system provide access to the most beautiful parts of Gstaad. Gstaad also has lots of climbing tours in top regions, from Zweisimmen to the Pays d’Enhaut, for anyone from elite athletes to families. Gstaad Mountain Rides is one of the safest and largest areas for skiing in Switzerland, is the Bernese Oberland's only glacier ski area which suitable for winter sports. Gstaad also offer freestylers exciting slope-style fun at its four snow parks. In Gstaad, every day some 52 km of both classic and skating trails of all levels of difficulty are prepared in the six cross-country skiing areas. There is something for everyone, from beginners to proficient skiers.
